Huawei mate 8: Failed to mount '/ cust' (Invalid argument)?

Whenever I try to "wipe" one or more partitions or install a zip and so on, TWRP gives me the error message "Failed to mount '/ cust' (Invalid argument)".

I've tried enough times to change the file system or "fix" the partitions.

I have the Mate 8 from Huawei and currently there's no system on it, I have not found a solution on the internet until now and I do not know any more…

(My current goal is to install a custom rom (excellent lineage OS), since I'm not really happy with the OS from Huawei.)

It would be great if someone could help me out…

Simple.
So you played around with the system.
Should not be done.
Maybe a professional gets that back. Not you.

Think you are "professional"?

Flash again a stick-ROM by fastboot.

Al

I'm.

But a zerschossennes system you do not get back to play a new system.

You used to swap storage.

Today we sent something to China.

I know the whole thing, really.

I came back to this profession after 6 years.

Not a single soldering iron or Leister (hot air soldering) far and wide.

That does not exist anymore.

Can you forget.

I was so proud of my job. But at the moment, this is only sent to China.

Thank you for your extremely helpful answer. Now I know for sure.

No, seriously? What are these forums actually there?

Of course you can do it again.

I've shot my phone so many times and got it fixed again and again.

If you do not have anything meaningful to contribute, at least do not get on my nerves.

I've shot my system so many times and then just flashed it again… I do not know why you should send something like that to China.

Ok, it worked.
Many Thanks!

And if I wanted to flash a custom rome now (just in theory), then I would just have to replace the "system.img", right?

Si

I'm.

Well, apparently not!

But a zerschossennes system you do not get back to play a new system.

My tip above has helped. So what's wrong with you? If you at least would say… I have only of soldering (hardware) idea, and of the whole software stuff like flashing, rooten etc. Pp. Not, then that would be okay. But you always pretend to be a super-electrician who has a plan for EVERYTHING… You are a terrible person!

Al

Then it's just flashing.

You can forget.

The thing is practically scrap.

I already have a long time.

And thanks to Xiaomi4Live it works again now.

Then do it.

You have my 100% guarantee that you will not make it.

Shot is shot.

But since you are so well versed, why are you reporting here? YOU PROFI.

I fix something like this for 15 years… I know what I'm talking about. You just dumb silly sayings, you unsuspecting.

Happy Easter still and a lot of fun flashing a dead device.

If you can do it, what no professional can… Then you get 50 euro from me.

Would not be a world wonder. It does not even connect to anything you smart thing.

Go

I'm not well versed in this topic and I'm not a professional, but I know from my experience that it can be fixed again.

If you even know anything about it, then you surely know the XDA Forum… There are more fixes for your supposedly unrepeatable devices than you can imagine. (And from TWRP, etc. Have you heard a lot, right?)

And I'm the "smartie"? You're the one here who claims to have a lot of knowledge… But do not help others.

And what do you mean by "it does not even connect to anything anymore"?
