Huawei mate 9 Getting Package info failed?

Yesterday I downloaded the update for EMUI 9, which was finished tonight, but then I turned off the cellphone. This morning I wanted to install it, but it looks like this: I start the phone, get into the EMUI eRecovery screen → "Download latest version and recovery" → "Download and recovery" → It connects to the WLAN → "Getting package info from server "→" Getting package info failed "…

And this is how it looks all the time… Does anyone know where the mistake is coming from?

The same problem has surfaced here;

Connected to Wi-Fi is o.k. And then at the end also "Getting package info failed",

I called the HONOR hotline 08008889050 and received the information there:

Wipe data / factory reset = reset to factory settings; but that is

all "settings" and photos + messages, if not previously backed up just gone and the device needs to be reconfigured; it can't be that, right? Surely there's another solution?

Two years by, and no one knows how to fix this issue?
