Hola Community,

The trade dispute between the USA and China went through all the media some time ago. Strangely enough, it's only talked about Google ending its collaboration with Huawei, but manufacturers like Umidigi, Ulefone, Cubot, etc. Are actually affected or am I mistaken?

After all, these are also all manufacturers with headquarters in China, that is their devices can't be linked to the Googlestore when the grace period of 90 days is over. The commercial dispute affects not only Huawei, but all Chinese companies.

It is said again and again that only newer, upcoming models are affected and those that are already in the trade would not be affected. The funny thing is that even those of the telecom and also employees at other vendors only generally advise against buying any Huwaei mobile phone.

Currently I have a P9 and actually wanted to upgrade and get me en P30 lite, but I can probably forget that, right?

I suspect that sooner or later all Huawei devices will be affected, that Google completely relinquishes the cooperation. And actually - so I suppose - are all manufacturers in China affected, right?

First thought that instead of a P30 lite I get a Umidigi One - but the manufacturer is unfortunately in China. Do I have to be fundamentally concerned? Is there anyone here who happens to know more about this?

Ba

I would buy one from XIAOMI.

Good and cheap!

My

It only affects Huawei.

Otherwise you can recommend Xiaomi.

Ha

OK.

Ha

OK. I just have concerns that this is expanding and eventually other Chinese manufacturers are affected. Do you have to be worried or not?

Last week we bought the Xiaomi MI A2 Lite for 149 euro.

Meanwhile, there's the better MI A2 for the price. But we wanted to have the Lite, because it has a better battery and is only 5.8 inches tall.

It also shies like an iPhone!

I can recommend this to you, already wg. The good camera

It's not about the trade dispute, it only affects companies that have been classified by the US as a security risk, which is the case with Huawei as a network vendor, but not all Chinese smartphone makers are affected.

My

Huawei is one of the largest in China.

I do not think that the orange from the US still further fakes accusations about other China manufacturers in the world brings

If you have a few days, the battery lasts a long time? Are you synonymous with the picture quality? The acoustics on the phone fits - so it's not too quiet or clattering?

Ma

Trump never knows, he can sanction European companies at any time.

Ba

My wife is satisfied with that. The photo quality is satisfactory. Is not synonymous the best camera. But enough for us. The battery lasts for 2 to 3 days with little use by… And you can call it quite well!

We do not have the highest standards, so…

Ba

What does it matter?

How do you want to judge the phone, if you do not even have it?

Gi

Basically, you can buy any Chinese phone, even if Trump forces Google. Breaking the link with all China manufacturers.

Because Android is actually a Linux distribution, just for Risc processors.

For this purpose, Xiaomi has its own bi-vision manager with the MiUI, and the substructure of Android is open source.

So the Chinese mobile phone builders have been working behind-the-scenes on their own, Android-compatible operating system and are also crocheting their own Appstore, which will soon also allow them to find the same apps. I think the two big guys, Huawei and Xiaomi, are going to be busy crocheting. Anyway, I'm curious what a MiUI based on Hongmeng looks like. And the gmail? Well, that calls just the Hongmeng mail client, as I do on Windows yes also e. Can do with Outlook, Thunderbird or Pegasusmail, to name a few. The bottom line is that only Google will change, they will rob them but only a piece of their power. But the Chinese can solve the Google handle so easily.

Who knows, maybe it's about operating systems then Google, like Digital Reseach…
