Charge the Huawei with an ipad cable?

I recently got a Huawei Nova 5T, which has the same charging connection as my iPad Air. I then partially charge the Huawei with the iPad's Lightning charging cable, which is why I wanted to ask whether this would be harmful to the Huawei's battery in any way can?
