Hi
I was about to charge my cell phone (Huawei p20 pro) and plugged in the charging cable as normal, but my cell phone did not charge. I've tried it several times and saw that whenever I plug in the charging cable, a notification of the settings comes up (see Fig. 1). If I click there, I get to the settings and see several options listed (see Fig. 2) If I select the "only charge" option, my mobile phone charges, but when I pull out my charging cable, I have to repeat the process over and over again… (always open the settings and select "only charge", because it always jumps to the one here (fig. 2) option shown, what can I do to have it charge directly when I plug in the cable?
Huawei hold, if you just can't set charging as default probably not much, lol
If the cable can transfer data and you connect it to the laptop / PC, it asks what it should do, i.e. Charging or transferring data, ideally simply using the charger directly at the socket
Everything works fine on my Ipad from huawei. I now have the problem on my mobile phone for the first time.
Stupid waffle…
Where did you hook up your Hawaii? (I know it's Huawei but I'm joking you humorless).
A normal charging cable, power supply unit and the socket.
This is usually the case when you charge your mobile phone via another device (e.g. PC). If the notification shows up even though it's plugged in, I'd tap a software error. Simply switch off the mobile phone, then press the volume up and touch buttons at the same time until the mobile phone has started (about 20 seconds). Then teach the cache there.
(Clear data -> Wipe cache partition -> restart)
NOT factory reset, then you erase everything
So I tried to charge it normally, there was no laptop / PC involved. Just a charging cable, my cell phone, the power adapter and the socket
Obviously you are charging the device on a computer. How should it know that only want to load and not transfer data?
If you use a USB plug-in power supply for charging, something like this won't happen.
Hi
There's no PC in the game. I charge normally with (original) charging cable, power supply and of course a socket!
Restart the smartphone.
I already have.
Then reset it completely.
What happens then? Will everything be erased?
Yes, the smartphone will be reset to factory settings.
You can then restore your data and settings from the last data backup.
