Did Google actually just continue to operate Android on Huawei?

Because of Trump they MAY NOT

Google would like their Google services to run on Huwei devices. This increases the number of users and thus their income.

Huawei would also like to use Google services on their smartphones. Unfortunately, this is not possible due to the Entity List. It's all just up to these political choices.

If Huawei has the chance to be allowed to submit Google services, they will do it immediately. So it was announced by Huawei a while ago. They are not keen on bringing their Huawei mobile services forward.

Since the basic building block of Android is open source, Huawei can and may continue to use Android. The Google services are missing and they still have limitations with Android. You have e.g. No early access to new Android versions.
