Google Play services are not supported (Samsung)?

Apparently my original problem seems to have a bigger extent than I thought… (Before someone complains: Yes, there have been questions in this regard, but all only for Huawei smartphones as far as I know)

Let's start from the beginning:

For a good 2-3 weeks my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy J7, 2016) kept getting the message that the Google Play Store keeps stopping or not responding or something like that. That's why I deactivated and reactivated the store in the app settings after setting my phone back to the factory settings (was probably a semi-optimal idea (then the problem with the contacts came, but that was another question)). Apart from the problem with WhatsApp afterwards, the store worked again.

Now comes the part of the story that confuses me a little. Until this early evening I was able to access everything normally (YouTube, Play Store, etc.) but, strangely, the store was COMPLETELY disappeared from my screen and the apps in the settings. Since then, I have been getting the message from YouTube and my Gmail account, "To use YouTube / Gmail, Google Play services are required which are not supported on your device."

I'm assuming that this has something to do with the fact that my Play Store hopped, but how do I get it back?

Have you confused google play store with google play services?!

activate the google play services

Ti

I have Google Play services activated (at least I can't deactivate them or force a stop)

I've already tried to clear the cache, but that didn't work either: /

How did you reset the cellphone?

via the menu or via the key combination?

Ti

I did it via Settings → Apps → Reset App Preferences

Try this way

You turn off the device. Then keep the "Power Button", "Home Button" and "Volume Up" button pressed until the Samsung * logo appears. Use the volume buttons to select "wipe data / factory reset" and confirm with the power button.

How do I get back into "normal" mode? Because somehow he has now reset it, but now I can't get away from it.

And at the beginning it was looking for a system update - and the Android logo - but shortly afterwards it said "No command" and now I'm kind of stuck in recovery mode

EDIT: I have now rebooted afterwards hope it works now

Ko

Exactly reboot.

can take some time

Ti

Yes it worked, thanks.
