Save internal memory of broken / destroyed cellphone?

My huawei p20 lite is completely destroyed. Can one nevertheless have luck and view the internal memory or save the data, such as pictures?

've connected it to the laptop via USB cable, but it will not show me. Can I still somehow get my things or is everything lost forever?

Is difficult, I would try to go to the dealer where you bought it if they can do that, if that does not work go to a professional data recovery company.
