I have an old Huawei p8 Lite 2017 with no guarantee and would like to install Lineageos on it. I just don't find any instructions on the Internet. Does anyone here know how I can root my device and install Lineageos?
With Huawei it is not so easy because the bootloader is locked
You flash a recovery on your smartphone, from there you can easily install custom ROMs on your phone. The TWRP recovery system is highly recommended. There are a lot of instructions for flashing.
The only requirement is an unlocked boot loader and activated ADB.
You can also download the root user via LineageOS and install it later using Flash, so you get full access.
