Huawei P20 pro, sound quality of videos during the calls very bad?

I recently got the Huawei p20 pro as a gift, I noticed that I can't call WhatsApp to watch any videos, because the sound is very bad. This however was not the case with my previous mobile phone (S7). Does one know why this could be?

Is this not the case with normal calls? I suspect that your Internet just does not grab the WhatsApp calls and you have bad or faltering sound.
