Huawei no longer detects downloads, what to do?

I have a Huawei P20 lite and have noticed that it no longer recognizes downloads. For example, if I download a picture, it will not show up in the gallery, I download music, it will not show up in the Mp3 player. It's all visible in downloads only, although it worked out a few weeks ago. I'm really desperate, would be nice if someone could help 😅

Could it be that you did not give your apps permission to access your phone memory after an update?

Look at the app permissions. There you can adjust what they are allowed to do.
