The whole thing should not be provocative, but what are your reasons for an overpriced cell phone or an expensive PC? (Examples of this will come later)
I can understand when z. B a business guy buys a MacBook or iPhone to look "serious" at meetings.
But when the 7 graders who share a room with their siblings have to buy a new cell phone for 1800 euro, I somehow don't understand it. The money is hardly worked out, so it comes from the parents, why he buy their children a cell phone for 1800 euro when they can't afford to have an apartment in which everyone has their own room.
Above all, there are cheaper alternatives without saving performance, on the contrary, for 300 I might get an iPhone 7.
Most important information about the iPhone7:
-3GB Ram
-12Megapixel main camera
-32GB storage
1. CPU
2 x 2.34 GHz
2. CPU
2 x 1.1 GHz
-------------------------------------------------- -----------------
For 300 euro I can also buy a Huawei P30 Lite
Here is the most important information:
-4GB RAM
-48Megalixel main camera
-128GB storage
1. CPU
4 x 2.20 GHz
2. CPU
4x 1.70 GHz
I have always had good experiences with Apple, I had an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) once and after 1 week the charging socket was broken. It cost less, but it was just junk. And because I never had anything wrong with IPhones, I also like to spend more money on a cell phone.
Didn't you have a guarantee after a week?
Sure, but cell phone could no longer be saved.
I have both Apple and Android phones.
I only have the iPhones because of the operating system. It is simply more suitable for me personally.
Simple, safe, intuitive, fast and reliable.
You can't compare data on the sheet 1: 1 because iOS works much more efficiently.
You also compare a cell phone from 2016 with one from 2019.
To what extent does IOS work more efficiently, even with example PC setups, the worse graphics card can ultimately not get more frames than the good one, provided the rest is the same.
However, if a driver is installed, the poorer graphics card can work better.
The PC comparison is also bad, since you would rather have to compare Linux PCs with Windows PCs.
Apple's operating system is tailored to its own hardware and runs perfectly. If you look at benchmarks, the Apple processors are way ahead of the Android, even though they are worse on the data sheet. It uses resources better.
If you are already on PCs, you can make an old laptop faster by using a slim Linux instead of Win10, it will be much faster when surfing etc.
Overpriced cell phone or an expensive PC
This is your subjective opinion and has nothing to do with the facts. Should therefore be marked as such.
I can understand when z. B a business guy buys a MacBook or iPhone to look "serious" at meetings.
This has absolutely nothing to do with seriousness. I would take a business partner with a OnePlus as seriously as someone with an iPhone. It depends on the workflows, which is why many business users, especially In creative areas such as graphics or software development, prefer Apple products (not only with regard to smartphones).
-4GB RAM
More RAM only because Android naturally requires more RAM. An iPhone with 3GB will not run any worse than an Android with 6GB RAM, simply because the software is perfectly adapted to the hardware due to the few models on the market and the fact that hardware and software come from the same manufacturer. Android, on the other hand, has to cope with everything somehow - 40 euro Chinese scrap, the flagship models and everything in between.
-48Megalixel main camera
With a camera, the megapixels are not important. We're now at a point where this information no longer plays any role. Years ago, that was where you celebrated a 3MP camera. Information about the bezel etc. Is important, and above all the flagship iPhones are among the best on the market (but not the best - various other manufacturers now have the lead). A camera with a 12MP sensor can be better than one with a 100MP sensor.
-128GB storage
Storage is absurdly expensive on the iPhone. Is the only point that I agree with.
1. CPU
4 x 2.20 GHz
2. CPU
4x 1.70 GHz
The same reasoning as for RAM.
To get back to your original question, why iPhone and not Android: Android is great for users who value customization and cross compatibility. IOS is for users who value stability, privacy and security. Google is a company that makes money with data. That already explains everything in terms of privacy. It is understandable that the system is lagging behind iOS for years. IPhones are inherently more secure due to the closed nature of the system, because it is not possible to run third-party software on them, for example. On an Android, these are a few clicks that can quickly become problematic, especially for inexperienced and non-tech-savvy users. And when it comes to stability, it is again a matter of coordination between hardware and software, as both from the same manufacturer.
In the end, Android is definitely the better choice for most users. However, there's a not small group of people who would like to do without customization and cross compatibility, but who wants to have a safe device with perfect workflows in conjunction with other products from the same manufacturer ("Ecosystem") that will still work in 4-5 years like today and major updates. Good luck getting security updates on a Huawei in three years.
I'm not an iPhone fan myself, but I have to say the following:
You are comparing a very current cell phone to an older cell phone, logically the current cell phone has an advantage. I think the price for IPhone is as follows:
Manufacturing price: With the IPhone 11Pro if I don't make a mistake about 450 euro
Currently you get an iPhone Pro believe for about 1400 euro
That is an extra charge of 1000 euro
You get:
Lifetime updates
The iPhone logo
Virus security (it's almost impossible to get a virus on IOS.)
You have to decide for yourself whether all the add-ons that you don't have on Android phones are worth 1,000 euro in the end.
And what about the fake updates? Too bad a really nice comment but unfortunately that is missing.
If you were to say what you mean by "fake updates", you could even answer that.
It is no coincidence that after updates many iPhone users complain about increased battery consumption and so on, they can send you a link later.
You don't need to send me a link. This has nothing to do with "fake updates". Battery performance has never deteriorated after updates. You mess things up. The CPU performance was reduced with an increasingly bad battery.
That is exactly one of the points that I raised in my answer. Stability. CPU performance on low-battery iPhones has been shut down to keep the battery alive longer. There's nothing wrong with that, on the contrary. What was reprehensible was that the users were given no choice whether they wanted it or not. They apologized for this and upgraded the corresponding function.
I still find such a small "mistake" that you see afterwards better than having to completely forego stability, privacy and security. Or are you taking your car to the scrap press because the radio suddenly has poor reception?
Again: Android is the better choice for many users. That doesn't change the fact that there are also many users for whom iOS is the better option. No matter whether it suits you or not.
There was and never was a 1800 euro iPhone (not even a bit)
Apple is a high quality brand and does not offer cheap cell phones
The cell phones are not made of plastic but of glass and various types of metal
The operating system is clearer and in my opinion more beautiful
The cell phone is virtually safe from viruses and you don't get a virus on every website
The designs are unique and look great
Data protection is a lot better than with Android phones.
In my opinion, Android is not nice, there's far too much choice, I don't like the cell phones from the design and I would have no reason to change
iPhones are super compatible with other Apple products and work perfectly.
They also have great performance
You get updates for years
You can always fix it, because there are spare parts for every cell phone, since there's not so much choice. The older or unknown Android phones have no spare parts that you can buy to fix it yourself and have to pay a lot for support if there's one.
You can jailbreak them and this is simply the best thing you can do, it looks beautiful and then has almost all functions like Android.
I can't think of anything else at the moment
What do you have against Apple and what do you think are the advantages of an Android phone?
But design is a matter of taste, if you like the IOS operating system better, there are countless designs for it.
Android phones work wonderfully with other Android phones too. Why should the other brands produce cheap cell phones? Everything is produced in China.
I don't find the designs unique, mostly it's just a color. For example, I find the designs of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro more beautiful.
Android phones also have super performance.
