Why are you buying Apple?

The whole thing should not be provocative, but what are your reasons for an overpriced cell phone or an expensive PC? (Examples of this will come later)

I can understand when z. B a business guy buys a MacBook or iPhone to look "serious" at meetings.

But when the 7 graders who share a room with their siblings have to buy a new cell phone for 1800 euro, I somehow don't understand it. The money is hardly worked out, so it comes from the parents, why he buy their children a cell phone for 1800 euro when they can't afford to have an apartment in which everyone has their own room.

Above all, there are cheaper alternatives without saving performance, on the contrary, for 300 I might get an iPhone 7.

I have always had good experiences with Apple, I had an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) once and after 1 week the charging socket was broken. It cost less, but it was just junk. And because I never had anything wrong with IPhones, I also like to spend more money on a cell phone.

I only have the iPhones because of the operating system. It is simply more suitable for me personally.

Apple's operating system is tailored to its own hardware and runs perfectly. If you look at benchmarks, the Apple processors are way ahead of the Android, even though they are worse on the data sheet. It uses resources better.

If you are already on PCs, you can make an old laptop faster by using a slim Linux instead of Win10, it will be much faster when surfing etc.

This is your subjective opinion and has nothing to do with the facts. Should therefore be marked as such.

This has absolutely nothing to do with seriousness. I would take a business partner with a OnePlus as seriously as someone with an iPhone. It depends on the workflows, which is why many business users, especially In creative areas such as graphics or software development, prefer Apple products (not only with regard to smartphones).

More RAM only because Android naturally requires more RAM. An iPhone with 3GB will not run any worse than an Android with 6GB RAM, simply because the software is perfectly adapted to the hardware due to the few models on the market and the fact that hardware and software come from the same manufacturer. Android, on the other hand, has to cope with everything somehow - 40 euro Chinese scrap, the flagship models and everything in between.

With a camera, the megapixels are not important. We're now at a point where this information no longer plays any role. Years ago, that was where you celebrated a 3MP camera. Information about the bezel etc. Is important, and above all the flagship iPhones are among the best on the market (but not the best - various other manufacturers now have the lead). A camera with a 12MP sensor can be better than one with a 100MP sensor.

To get back to your original question, why iPhone and not Android: Android is great for users who value customization and cross compatibility. IOS is for users who value stability, privacy and security. Google is a company that makes money with data. That already explains everything in terms of privacy. It is understandable that the system is lagging behind iOS for years. IPhones are inherently more secure due to the closed nature of the system, because it is not possible to run third-party software on them, for example. On an Android, these are a few clicks that can quickly become problematic, especially for inexperienced and non-tech-savvy users. And when it comes to stability, it is again a matter of coordination between hardware and software, as both from the same manufacturer.

In the end, Android is definitely the better choice for most users. However, there's a not small group of people who would like to do without customization and cross compatibility, but who wants to have a safe device with perfect workflows in conjunction with other products from the same manufacturer ("Ecosystem") that will still work in 4-5 years like today and major updates. Good luck getting security updates on a Huawei in three years.

You don't need to send me a link. This has nothing to do with "fake updates". Battery performance has never deteriorated after updates. You mess things up. The CPU performance was reduced with an increasingly bad battery.

That is exactly one of the points that I raised in my answer. Stability. CPU performance on low-battery iPhones has been shut down to keep the battery alive longer. There's nothing wrong with that, on the contrary. What was reprehensible was that the users were given no choice whether they wanted it or not. They apologized for this and upgraded the corresponding function.

I still find such a small "mistake" that you see afterwards better than having to completely forego stability, privacy and security. Or are you taking your car to the scrap press because the radio suddenly has poor reception?

Again: Android is the better choice for many users. That doesn't change the fact that there are also many users for whom iOS is the better option. No matter whether it suits you or not.

iPhones are super compatible with other Apple products and work perfectly.
