Do you urgently need an alternative for the Google Play services?

I recently bought a Huawei p40 lite, and since I don't think much of Google anyway, I didn't care that there are no Google apps there. However, I didn't know that so many apps needed the Google Play services. Is there an alternative to the Google Play services?
