I would like to print out vacation photos from my mobile phone (at Rossmann's). The photos all look sharp. Can someone tell me if you can have it printed out in poster size so that it is sharp too?
PS I have the Huawei p40 pro
It's not spicy then, no.
According to the number of pixels, you should be able to print up to A1 at 300 dpi. But since it is a cell phone camera and several factors are responsible for the quality, I would say you can print up to A3 without great loss of quality.
Here is a calculator to calculate the print size:

Then print one out for a test and see if it is sharp enough.
How big are the image files that you want to print?
So a picture with about 5MB and a size of about 3100x4100 is sufficient for A4 at 300DPI.
The normal photos on the P40 Pro are 12 megapixels or 4096 × 3072.
A gallery-quality image is 300 dpi (dots per inch).
To determine the maximum size you simply divide both values of your resolution by 300. And then convert to cm.
4096: 300 = 13.65 inches = 34.7 cm
3072: 300 = 10.24 inch = 26 cm
So you can print a poster in approx. 35 x 26 cm without any loss of quality. However, you can also print it larger, because you don't always stand with your nose directly in front of the poster (especially if it is very large). A reduction in quality is not noticeable at a distance of 1-2 meters.
To print even larger without sacrificing quality, you have to use the 50 megapixel mode of the P40 Pro, which is only available in Pro and High-Res mode.
