Which printer is recommended?

I need a printer that is less than 100 euro for home (homeschooling, office) must be able to scan, print / copy and fax.

And which is better / suitable laser printer or print jet printer?

Or which ones can cost more if you have to replace the cartridges / print later?

And how do I know if this printer works with my laptop (Huawei D 15)

I've bought about 10 Brother DCP 1610Ws… Some have been running almost every day for a few years with no problems. However, it costs around 160 euro.

Scanner / printer / copier / fax and laser printer for less than 100 EUR can't be made new. The question no longer arises whether the device is also recommendable.

If the price limit is fixed, then I would question whether ALL requirements really have to be met, or whether you really still have to fax (it is becoming increasingly rare anyway who you can still reach with it).

I would also pay much more attention to the fact that it is possible to print with the device e.g. From a mobile phone or tablet, which in my opinion is becoming more and more common.

If your notebook works with Windows 10, then normally every current printer will work with it.

The question of ink or laser can, in my opinion, be clarified much more through the following two key questions:

Do you need color printing or is black and white enough?
Is the device used regularly, or may it be for a few weeks or maybe a few weeks. Standing around unused for months?

If it turns out that it is not used regularly, then I urgently advise against an ink printer - the ink cartridges only dry you out.

From my own experience I can highly recommend Brother inkjet printers - they are very 'durable'.

If you are printing a lot, it may be worth buying a more expensive printer and having cheaper cartridges instead. With the cheap models (I say under 120, maybe even under 200 EUR) it is almost always the case that the printer is only so cheap because the manufacturer then picks up the money via the expensive cartridges.

So you don't have to fax, yes it doesn't have to have a problem with the cell phone or tablet to print out, I need color, I also have Window 10, the device is used every day in these 2 months, but afterwards I don't think I'll use it will use a lot!

At the moment, since I'm doing an online course, I need something to print out every day, but not more than 5 sheets, I would say. And after 2 months, when the course has ended, it is no longer needed for many weeks or months every day.

Unfortunately, I could not be further helped on the following website!

I'd rather spend more and recommend this one: https://www.tonerjet.de/hp-drucker-smart-tank-455-artikel/

This is a Smart Tank multifunction device. There are no ink cartridges in there, but there are permanently installed, spacious ink tanks where the ink is filled with bottles. This means that ink costs are on average 90% lower than with a printer with cartridges. It can be connected via USB and Wi-Fi. You have to install the supplied driver CD, otherwise it will not work. If you don't have a drive, the instructions also contain the download link for the driver.

You don't need a computer for copying, you can simply use the device buttons. There's a button for b / w and one for color copying.

Printing and scanning with a smartphone / tablet is also possible. All you have to do is install the free HP Smart app. Available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. If you have a Chromebook, you can install the HP Smart App via the Google Play Store as you would with Android.

A complete set of ink is supplied which corresponds to a complete filling. This gives you the following ranges:

black: approx. 6000 pages A4
cyan: approx. 8000 pages A4
magenta: approx. 8000 pages A4
yellow: approx. 8000 pages A4

A complete set of original ink costs around 50 euro. That gives you these ranges. That makes an average of around 40 cents ink costs per 100 A4 printouts: https://www.hd-toner.de/Druckerpatronen/HP/Smart-Tank-Wireless-455/Original-HP-Tinte-32XL-3x-31-Set-Mehrfarbig.html?gid=14938 The colors can also be ordered individually.

The ink level is displayed through the viewing window on the device. As soon as the ink level has reached the bottom mark, you should refill. There are no chips that count the pages and no waste ink bottle. A normal A4 sheet of paper is required every time you clean the print head. The spare parts are also cheap. A replacement printhead, for example, costs around 13 euro.

I bought this printer myself in March 2020 and used about 1/4 of the included ink to date.

If you also want to print from your mobile phone / tablet, then it depends on whether you want to work with Apple devices or whether you only use Android anyway.

Finding out Apple-enabled printers is quite easy:

Normally there's also a possibility for them to use the under Android (possibly a printer manufacturer-specific app).

If you write that the printer will be standing around a lot after 2 months, then I would recommend a (black and white) laser printer. Unfortunately, cheap laser printers in particular are not so cheap to run. Here you can possibly save even more money with 'replica' toner cartridges. If you are not going to use the printer 'all the time' anyway, the cost of toner is not that significant.

The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw is halfway inexpensive to purchase AND for the toner. However, it even has an automatic document feeder for copying and scanning.

What has not yet been discussed: Ink printers are usually larger than laser printers.
