How best to charge a cell phone, so that the battery is not damaged?

I will get a new cell phone in a few days (probably the Huawei Nova) and would not like to damage the battery, or ensure its long survival.

All the phones I've had so far I've always charged overnight, which is not supposed to be good. How should I best charge my future mobile phone to do little harm? If it is at 0%? Or still at 30%? I read different opinions everywhere and wanted to ask again.

The best is if you charge your cellphone before going to sleep on 100% and over seam flight mode o.ä. Turn on, so that the battery is not lost… Otherwise during the day normal charge (best a 20% only charge) and always fully charged if it works! Then your battery can eigl. Nothing happens!

Protect the battery from heat and cold. Batteries produce electricity through chemical reactions and these do not "like" it too much when it is too hot or too cold.
Battery charge between 20% - 80% hold. A battery uses faster, if you want to impose on him the last percent charge. This causes the battery to age the fastest.
Avoid Fast Charge and Quick Charge. This also makes the battery age faster.
Charge the battery regularly and avoid short charging times
Periodically (~ once a month) use the battery at 100% charge and up to 0%, so that the charging electronics can calibrate

Could you explain that a bit more with the fast batch? I'm interested in that now 😋

Sry, something was outdated… Hehe * sweat beads * … https://www.smartphonepiloten.de/schnellladefunktion-smartphone-schaedlich-akku

The manufacturers have built in collateral and stop charging at 100%, but the battery is only somewhere between 90% and 95%, so kanmnst it (also according to chip) loosely connected overnight.

Off is also only at 0% from the point of view of the measurement, the battery then has, as long as it is Ok, even reserves. But then there's further residual consumption (clock, sensors, switch-on readiness) and self-discharge. A deep discharge threatens, and that really harms the battery. I try to reload 10% at the latest.

What also damages a battery is heat and temperatures below + 5 °

So my recommendation: do not be paranoid and just let the device load. Do not lay in the sun because of the heat and avoid fast charges when it's hot. For low outside temperatures put on places that are in the plus range. And do not leave empty regularly.
