I have a new cell phone (HUAWEI Mate 10 lite) and wanted to take the SD card out of my old one. Usually it goes through a needle or something similar, but it didn't work, so (because it was already junk) I broke it open to get the card out.
Now I can't even turn on my mobile data, and SMS and calls don't work either. Otherwise, everything is OK.
My question; Is it likely that I damaged the SD when I broke it open and that the cellular network does not work as a result? Or are there other reasons for this? What can i do now?
I think you damaged the SIM card, but it could also be that your SIM is blocked.
It's best to just call your provider's support.
The SD card is not important. Only the SIM card is important for use.
