To notice them in silent mode, I have always used the "Alarmbox" app. During the last use after the update to Android 10 (EMUI10 Huawei) I noticed that it did not trigger. After a few tests with my own number, I'm now sure that it will not work.
Is there a working alternative that also works on Android 10?
Or is there any trick to make the app work now?
The SMS is a standard SMS that only contains the alarm time and date.
Doesn't answer your question… But we used to use pagers for something like that.
They are still in use today in rescue operations.
Maybe your guard should think about using it.
The causes can be varied. Since I have also noticed strange behavior of other apps since I have Android 10, it is reasonable to assume that the app simply can't cope with it. For this you will probably need an update of the app. If and when that comes, only the app creators know.
It makes sense that there are federal states that do not allow cell phone alarms as the only way.
Some of the weirs also have detectors. Unfortunately not enough for everyone. We're currently discussing with the office the acquisition of additional detectors for the "core" of people who are always there. Unfortunately, that will probably take a little longer.
Then your bearer probably did not understand that only the comrades can come who are properly alerted. That is a long way from the demand for an "efficient fire brigade". In my opinion, there's currently no way around sensible DME if you want to alarm.
The app is no longer allowed to access your SMS due to Google guidelines. I recommend downloading the old version of the app from the Internet, then it will work again;)
That's exactly what I have, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me since Android 10 and since the developer has unfortunately stopped further development, I have to bridge it or over the meantime.
