Would you buy a Huawei smartphone now after the US ban?

No, I don't allow myself to be made into the plaything of the mighty solid posts in everyday life who knows what else comes up

I don't think it's good, but I don't think I should have to pay for it as a customer because some apps require google services

I don't really care what the Trump trampoline says. I will definitely not be told by what I have to do or not to do.

Doesn't speak against anything per se. In the end, it doesn't make the products worse, just less attractive.

But I wouldn't have done it before the ban. Huawei lost me as a loyal customer years ago when they or their daughter Honor no longer delivered Android updates to my Honor 7 for flimsy reasons and at the same time offered mid-range hardware for years that even Samsung was already using at the time Entry-level class. The ban was the last nail in the coffin, and I haven't recommended a Huawei to anyone since then.

I just bought the Huawei P40 Pro last month because the camera simply convinces me.

Some apps do not work correctly because they need the Google yours, with some apps this is just that e.g. Can't find a store because this works via Google Maps.

The only real limitation concerns banking with my business account, unfortunately the app is absolutely necessary for banking and unfortunately does not work. I just bought an old cell phone from a friend for € 50, which I now only use for banking.

For banking with my private account, I can use their banking app as normal (ING-DiBa).

Via the Amazon App Store, I can also make purchases of games in apps with games and apps that I have bought there (albeit with a smaller selection).

So in conclusion yes there are limitations, but the technology is still good.
