Looking for recommendations for a smartphone?

I'm afraid I will need a new smartphone soon if this continues.

I currently have a Huawei for the second time, my current model is the Y6 (2018), before that I had the P8 Lite and I'm very satisfied so far.

Even though I'm very satisfied with it for many reasons, I can't avoid worrying about the story between Huawei and Google, including about the future, when I ask myself which smartphone I will get next. One of the YP series was planned, but I'm no longer sure whether it will still be profitable.

On this occasion, I'm also looking for alternatives. In the past I already had Samsung (Star range), ZTE, Nokia Lumia and Huawei.

As you can see, I'm not a person who attaches particular importance to the latest model, as long as there are updates and I don't have to waste it again in 1 year, I value the fact that I can make phone calls with it, use social networks can and also have customization options, so the backgrounds, etc. I need this, this dull 08/15 standard background image and icons of the applications and applications is absolutely not for me.

My question would now be: Is Huawei still worth it, has someone risked it and can tell me something about it, probably not someone who has a P40 but also an older model that was released before the embargo or someone can give me a recommendation. Note: No ZTE ever again and no Apple

Price: up to 200 euro

As an alternative, I can recommend Samsung's A series or Oneplus.

It just depends on what you want to spend.

Te

I can definitely recommend the OnePlus Nord

So there's the best software and extremely fast updates for 2 years

Alternatively, the 20 FE 5G, you will get updates for 3 years, but they don't come that fast

A great alternative to the s20 FE would be the OnePlus 8t which will be presented on Wednesday

The Pixel 5 and also the 4a are very interesting options

If you value long updates and a long-lasting device, I can only recommend iPhones, you will get updates for at least 5 years, my iPhone 6 even got a few security updates after the updates were officially discontinued.

Ma

No, never an iPhone, but thank you anyway

El

And why not? Does that have reasons too? It perfectly meets your needs.

Ma

A friend of mine has an iPhone. I was allowed to take a look at it and I can't handle the user interface.

The questioner wrote from the start:

Note: No ZTE ever again and no Apple

you don't need to recommend an apple to the lady if she expressly doesn't want an apple. I want to tell you about the long support, the software updates for a long time, but that's why I don't have it.

Ai

Can it also be used with a guarantee from the dealer or does it have to be a new device?

the demand because needed, you get more for the money.

Ma

Of course it can also be used, I have a budget of up to 250 euro so it doesn't matter if it is needed. Should be a serious seller / platform

El

I didn't read that… I only recommended the most logical brand for you up to the previous section and based on it.

El

Well, that's all a matter of getting used to, you're only used to Android, after 1-2 weeks you have it completely in there, also switched from Android to iOS 6 years ago and think it's miles better, but everyone theirs, as I said yes only a recommendation because you value long updates and a good shelf life, what you ultimately buy is your business.

Ma

Thanks for the answer but I think I'm staying away from Apple, it somehow doesn't suit me

If it should be new, receive updates and buy it for less than 250 euro, I would think of the following models:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S
Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite

https://www.mi.com/...-10t-lite/ (Sales start on October 13th with a discount of 250 euro instead of 280 euro)

The devices can currently all be purchased on eBay under the discount code "PNEWCOMER" for 15% less.

You can stay with huawei. On the one hand, only the latest devices without Google, you can also install the Google play store and the Google play services. So you can use Google without turning the entire system into law with unnecessary apps that you never use anyway

Ma

Ah okay, thanks for that, I would like to stay with Huawei because I know exactly what to expect. I was just worried that it would somehow affect older devices. On the internet I only ever found P30 but not everyone has the model…

gu

I currently have the Huawei nova 5t manufactured in 2019 and it has Android 10 so nobody can take that away from you and I will stay with huawei in the future and if no google is installed then I simply install the play store myself like on my Amazon fire tablet

Ma

Ah okay, thanks for the answer.

No problem I'm also convinced of huawei and like to help with the upcoming huawei and google problems I just think huawei does everything better than samsung, htc, and the many others apart from sony sony's devices have been going back for some time and would for at most I could still be an alternative, but the rest is just not worth the money for me

Ma

Yes, that's how I see it, I just find myself in Huawei, the simple and yet classic design, the colors and shape, which also play a role for me, Huawei has it easy for me to show my colors and of course the operation. Everything is structured in a similar way. The switch from the P8 Lite to the Y6 was not difficult at all, the connection with HiSuite means that it is not rocket science to transfer data and the like, I also like the customization options very much.

gu

Should you have a huawei that does not have an operating system that is compatible with google and need help installing from the google play store, etc., please contact me and I'll help

Ma

Super thanks, I'll come back to it should it be like that.
