Activate memory card for Huawei?

So, I have 16GB on my Huawei Y6 2018. Now I got a 64GB memory card, and I used it. Everything is going great, cell phone has recognized the memory card. But if I download something or take photos or install apps, it still goes to my internal storage. Do I have to activate or change anything?
