Huawei P20 Lite (eye on status bar?)?

So on my phone (Huawei P20 Lite), an eye is shown on the status bar, that's iwie creepy, can it see me?! It scares me, maybe you know what that means or how you can get it away

The eye icon means that Smart Stay is on. Smart Stay is a function of the mobile phone that ensures that the screen is not turned off as long as you look at it.

Let's assume your smartphone automatically turns off the screen after you have not clicked on it for 30 seconds. When Smart Stay is activated, the phone first takes a picture after the 30 seconds and looks to see if there are any eyes to identify. If so, the phone assumes that someone is still looking at the screen and does not turn off the screen yet.

This is very handy if you want to read a longer text and want to prevent it, that permanently the screen goes off automatically.

If you want to disable this feature, you can do so under Settings> Display> Smart Stay.

So for me Honor View 10 means the eye that I already have eyes already active mode.

The eye means "spare eyes" (= yellowish colors of the displays) Can you easily disable in the display settings

This eye icon is actually the "eye comfort" icon on many phones.

That will be more scarier if your phone doesn't have eye comfort or smart stay
