I have recently got a Huawei p20 pro. I want my messages to be hidden on the lock screen (ie "they have 2 messages out of 2 chats"). However - no matter what I do - the attitude that I want it that way always resets instantly. I've already set the lock screen in Whatsapp itself. Here the attitude remains the same, but it shows no effect. When setting the phone itself, the setting is unfortunately always back. (I was already there with the app itself and have changed all the notifications so… But it does not help. Notification management has not helped.) Does anyone have any idea that can help me?
That sounds like a mistake in the system. Either the error was delivered with a system update or the problem has only occurred to you through something.
You could try to clear the cache of System UI. Go to apps settings and select System UI. It could be that you still have to show system apps. It is best to press "Force Force Exit" and clear the cache under Memory. Subsequently, a restart of the device could do well.
Alternatively, a system reset should help.
If necessary you could contact the support Huawei or your dealer.
I thank you. I was just happy because I emptied the cache and restarted the phone and the message was hidden directly at the next notification. BUT that was it then. On the next message, the setting was already reset: / A few days ago, the messages could also be encrypted, but this was also reset relatively quickly.
