Does 4x MSAA really enforce more gaming performance?

Only I do not know if that's really true. I have a Huawei P20 Lite and in the settings it says "Force 4x MSAA - 4x MSAA in OpenGL ES 2.0 - Enable Apps". (If it really increases the gaming performance, how much does it affect the battery?)

But I also read that it should make the phone slower. So here's a question for the experts.

Nice gambling in any case. But antialiasing requires significantly more power. So no, it's more on the battery and reduces the performance in exchange for a slightly nicer appearance. The article also says nothing about a better performance, but clearly that the smartphone has to be able to do more.

So this only makes for a nicer appearance but the FPS pay will not increase and the battery will go flat quicker? Did I understand that correctly?

Si

Right. There will be less FPS and battery usage will increase. The edges are smoothed and pixel edges are less obvious.

Actually I would like to have more FPS but the graphics should stay the same. Is there a setting I need to enable for more FPS in a game?

Si

It just does not work. More FPS can only be calculated if the device has more power, or if the graphics are less demanding. Realistically, the wish can only be fulfilled with a stronger smartphone.

Well with a few tricks can be more and more FPS display. Huawei had already released this GPU Turbo several months ago for a few cell phones and it should have up to 60% more GRafikleistungen. For me, the FPS have also increased by GPU Turbo, but it was only 3-4 FPS (probably) and it has not overheated so fast
