I do not need a mega-Schnack-Schnack but the camera should be good, good battery life, and appealing design.

I can recommend you the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) this is a very good phone I own it since 2 weeks and it was in the price quite good for a middle class was still under 300 euro.

In the price range, I would clearly look at the subsidiary of Huawei, Honor.
Best to buy a Honor 8x or Honor Play until 300 euro. The play has the better chip, the 8x the better camera. Alternatively for a little more like 300 euro the Honor 10.
