I would like to buy myself a new Smartphone, since my current Smartphone simply can't keep up with the new ones. New apps / games are not working very well, etc. I looked at the Huawei P20 lite. It should be a smartphone that costs under 300 euro. And I want to get away from Samsung because the price-performance ratio is simply not right there.
Does it have to be new with the huawei p10 lite you have a high end phone from last year what is still high end has itself one thing just runs everything and camera is synonymous tip I've used at dealers for 130 euro get it, so I can tell you so you do not do anything wrong just look at ebay classified ad times.
I would like to use the phone but at least 2-3 years. In 2-3 years I can do nothing with the p10 lite. Maybe with the p20 lite.
I would not want to do the P20 Lite voluntarily. If it should be a Huawei, then the new P smart +. Very important is the plus! Otherwise offers under 300 euro the Xiaomi Mi A2. Since you have Android One, so Stock Android and get 2 years updates and 3 years monthly security patches. Since this is only available since July, you can pretty much exhaust the full period. It has good performance and the camera is not bad either.
Huawei also has good devices with good P / L ratio, but the P20 Lite is not really one of them. The Kirin 659 is currently installed at Huawei also in a P Smart for less than 200 euro. Just as the camera is not better than the much cheaper Huawei devices.
From P / L point of view, I would resort to a Xiaomi device, which there are now also many German stores (although not as cheap as the import shops)
A Xiaomi Mi A2 (in the 64GB version!) With Android One you get already for 240 euro → https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de
Also very good are the slightly older flagships, as they offer more from a technical point of view. For example, a Nokia 8 should not have sold so well for the starting price then, but is now for 288 euro to get. The thing would have a QSD835 and what would be pure CPU / GPU performance extremely good for under 300 euro. Just like HTC U Ultra (which is sometimes available for 199 euro) and the Moto Z2 Force. Whereby I would rather use the Nokia 3 for the three, since Nokia is much more reliable regarding updates.
From middle class Huawei, I would currently only access devices that already have the Kirin 710. That would be currently only the P Smart +. Alternatively you could wait there for the Mate 20 Lite. Otherwise, one is priced too close to a Honor 10, which is technically then 50 euro more again CLEARLY better than a P20 Lite.
So, I hope I could help you. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me.
Why the P smart + and not the P 20 lite? Would also like USB Type C.
Very helpful, thank you!
Achso, what about the Xiaomi Mi A2 with LTE?
Has LTE and also with volume 20. So to use without restriction.
The p20 lite is nothing in contrast to the Mi A2.
This is the brain tore in the P smart +, no idea what it has ridden at Huawei to block MicroUSB.
The P20 Lite has the ridiculous Kirin 659. The CPU is not so plump and completely overwhelmed with Huawei's EMUI. This results in a lame operation. If you want to open apps, they'll allow a few seconds for your attention. The P smart + has the new Kirin 710, the CPU is much better and the EMUI has risen a bit.
The P20 Lite is not bad, but unfortunately started with too high a price and initial software problems. I would prefer the Mi A2 alone because of Android One, because it is just cleaner, runs smoother and you get guaranteed for the next few years updates.
The only downside to Mi A2 is that NFC is missing. If you can live with it, it's the perfect choice.
I rarely used NFC on my current smartphone anyway. Did it directly with Bluetooth coupled with a device.
So I keep my phones only one and a half years then a new used on ebay looking for what is then high end so I have on sale of old still good value and always good phone, so far that works now with mobile number three perfectly means I'll probably look in half a year to see what the market offers and if I exchange my phone again, a little expensive but always good technology at good prices as I try to sell the old time where the value is still good, for the p10 I just put it on 40 😉
And buy second-hand also helps the environment haha
