I'm looking for a handy smartphone. I've always had a 3.5 "Galacy Ace, in short a 4" S3 mini and therefore missed the hype on large displays. My Huawei p8 lite 2017 5.2 "with glass back, is a disaster.
It would be important:
- under 5 "whether with or without border, pain threshold 4.7" display
- No glass back
- fast surfing (faster than the Huawei)
- max 370, - preferably under 300, -
- at least acceptable battery power
F HD I do not need, and no high-end phone. And it does not have to be from 2018. But I use it a lot to navigate and surf. It has to be good and fast. Camera, well better is better but not so important. I do not need games.
Any tips what I can still look at?
A3 2017 - again Samsung? 🙈 And too much glass
Iphone SE - iOS? Oh ever zero experience with that
XZ1 Compact - quite nice and good and quite expensive (~ 370 current)
X Compact - not so smart, performance?
Does anyone think of anything else? Alternatives? Tips?
The z3 / z5 Compact should be affordable. However, 2-3 years older.
Thank you. I read that there should have been problems with overheating. Do you know something there? How are those of the performance / speed while surfing? It must be better than my Huawei, I have no PC.
Exactly. At least that's the topic of the z5. This goes back to the older snapdragon processor which is installed. If it's not too old .z3 would be a good compromise (albeit without official new Google updates). Otherwise it will be mow or you reach deeper into the bag. I now have a s9 and miss my z1, z3 and z5 (each Compact) times (purely in terms of format).
Would grab for xz1 Compact, simply because Sony builds almost as the only top hardware in small format.
The xz1 c is currently actually my favorite. Is also just beautiful, but priced already very close to the pain threshold. Also out of stock at some providers and I'm afraid the price goes up again.
The Z3 is already very old, Z5 is supposed to be no better but costs the same. The XC I had even considered, but I do not know if the performance is really as bad as it is often claimed.
If you spend money, take the xz 1 (will not be more expensive, since apparently the xz3 is coming soon).

Honestly, I bought it last week, but I'm thinking of sending it back because I'm not sure if it's technically in good condition. Unfortunately, no new device (should have been one) have asked synonymous ne separate question. The dealer can't exchange because it is out of stock at the moment. So I wanted to look again for a possible alternative. Unfortunately under 5 "is really difficult to find something.
