I find in the network operator a 4G masts (see picture 1)
But when I try to connect with it, it does not work (see picture 2)
My friends are in the same place as me and have 3 bars of 4G?!
I connect then only automatically with the 2G (E) although I activated every net! (Picture 3 )
(On my Huawei p8 light 2017)
Can anybody help me further?
Thank you and have a nice day!
Do you have a mobile phone imported from Asia that has no band 20 and live rather rural? If so, it can probably be because of it
Does your SIM card or contract support LTE?
On my OnePlus 6 with the Lidl Connect card I have the "problem" too. The device suggests the LTE network to me and could also select it, but it automatically dials into the 3G network. My tariff does not allow LTE.
I can imagine that it is the same problem with you.
Ne!
Elsewhere I have 4G!
Not at my place of residence?!
(Will not connect)
Yes, that's right!
Thanks alot!
New momentum for a new mobile phone!
Why is that with Volume 20?
What is that exactly?
And… I had 4G LTE just a week ago but only 10 min!
Band 20 emits 800 MHz. This wavelength is very common especially in Germany. Volume 20 has a wide radius of radiation so that it is used everywhere and also reaches well into rural areas, where there are not many masts and so on. In cities, evening band 20 is also activated, as it is more energy efficient. But as I said, because the radius is large at band 20, LTE is made possible especially in rural areas in Germany, where there are hardly any / few masts, etc.
Most foreign mobile phones unfortunately do not have a band of 20 because they sell for their own land. Many just make the mistake of buying foreign phones if they have a good price. That Not that foreign phones are bad, by no means. But you have to buy the right model for the country where you live (germany eg). So better and better exactly the model that is described, check the internet, if there's a lot of band 20 for germany. (the other bands are of course important too)
've just read the model name of your cell phone. Huwai p8 light 2017 should actually have band 20. (see link: https://www.kimovil.com/...e-2017-16g
either you've misadjusted something on your phone, or you live so deeply rural that not even the 800mhz of band 20 will reach you and you will not get LTE connectivity where you live.
But I do not know if there are foreign versions or versions of it that have no band 20. Could be possible.
Cool, thanks!
Really super helpful!
Thank you for your help!
You're really cool guy! 😁😁😁
I have now bought a new phone and much better reception! Again 4G!
Switch to Samsung!
