I have a huawei p10 lite and if I have slomo on my camera it is kind of pixelated.
Can someone please explain to me why?
Whether the camera is broken or something
Think the camera takes a very low resolution to be able to take more pictures, which is why this "pixel effect" occurs. You can't do anything about it. Have a look at the settings.
for iPhone you can e.g. 720p = 240 pictures or 1080p = 120 pictures (definitely with the older ones
To record a slow-mo video, the frame rate of the recording is increased. Instead of 30 or 60 fps, e.g. 120 fps recorded.
Due to the much higher frame rate, much more data is created, which must be recorded by the sensor and processed and stored by the processor (system-on-chip).
Since your hardware is unable to accommodate the high resolution and frame rate, the resolution is reduced to 480p. The bit rate, which also affects the image quality, will probably also be reduced. The slow-mo video only has a resolution of 640 × 480 and generally looks a little worse.
With current flagships, 240fps at 1080p are no longer a specialty. These have a better sensor and more power to process the data. At 720p, 480fps or 960fps are also offered.
With your mid-range device, which is also a few years old, you have to make friends with 480p at only 120fps.
