Android 9.0 Slomo Camera Function Alternative?

I have a Huawei Mate 20 pro and Android 9.0 on it. The camera is great. Abet you "new" slow-motion option is a disaster. The camera now decides what it wants to film and what does not. What she picks up as Slomo and what does not. I no longer have any influence on the length, position and moment when the recording of what should be done.

Either I serve it wrong or it is clearly a deterioration to its predecessor.

Is there an app or alternative to make good quality videos in Slomo?

Or does anyone know about the slow motion option?

Presumably because the phone's memory would otherwise fill up instantly? Could imagine that a video with so many pictures / second might be pretty fast, pretty big.

Videos with 960 FPS could never turn as long as you're funny.

What else should that be for huge files?
