I have an urgent problem.
I accidentally fell into the toilet last night while washing my hands, my Huawei p20 lite which is still new, just 2 months old without scratches without any other damage, I immediately took it out and put it in rice so that it dries. Today around 10 o'clock I got it out again and the sound that didn't work properly yesterday is now working again and at first the touchscreen was also working, but now it is no longer only with luck now and then. I've blow-dried a bit but that doesn't help. I'm upset right now and I don't know what to do. I don't want to and can't get a new cell phone for money either. It was a birthday present.
Do any of you know what I can do now so that the screen works properly again?
That this absolute nonsense with "put in rice immediately" is still so stubborn is incomprehensible to me…
If you want the device to be 100% functional again, you will not be able to avoid having it professionally opened and repaired as water damage. Those are the hard facts, even if other users might tell you something else.
