I have an old Huawei p8 lite (Android 6.0, EMUI 4.0.3), whose hardware is not fully functional anyway, so I'd like to roam it and try a new OS. But I would have to unlock the bootloader. Unfortunately, last year Huawei stopped the official release of unlock codes. Is there still a way to unlock the bootloader?

Also note that installing a wrong firmware can render your device unusable.

The intentions of the companies: You and I say: we bought it, we want to use it and we do that. So legally.
The companies scream, that would not be legal because they want to sell more.
The site operators want to offer us a platform, but otherwise their rest from discussions and desires.

For me, I just had to go to Huawei's official website, email Huawei, wait a few days, read the email, send all the needed data to Huawei, wait a week, and send it to you by email!
Did it 2 weeks ago so it should still go now. It was also free so everything was easy.
