I've noticed lately that the notification sound from WhatsApp sounds, but there are no new messages.
It can only come from WhatsApp because I only have this sound for this app.
In addition, I noticed that it probably only happens if I still have a WhatsApp message in the notification bar above, but this had not yet read. Which reminds me a lot now of the reminder function for notifications. I find only with the best will no attitude to it. Neither WhatsApp nor Android. How will I get rid of this?

Maybe you are in a group that you have switched to mute and there are always messages. So by that I mean that the "mute" did not work out.
For groups I have a different tone again.
