Change device model number?

I have a Huawei P smart (2018 model) and I have Android 9. In August, the Huawei P smart (2019 model) gets an update to Android 10 (or Q). Can I change somewhere the device model number, so that Huawei dekt I would have the 2019er model and get the update?

Presumably, the built-in hardware will have changed, so it's not just the model number.
