Hotmail, are only the latest mails displayed?

Only mails about 1 day old are displayed. After that these disappear… I never find a point under Settings where I can change… I also have the problem on Outlook 2016 and Outlook App on Samsung S10. On my Huawei phone and Outlook 2007, however, all mails are displayed. Does somebody has any idea

So

Well I think I know where the problem is.

In the Outlook app and Outlook 2016, you will definitely use access via IMAP.

With the Huawei mobile phone and with Outlook 2007 you will probably use the access via POP3. With one of the two, the POP3 access will be set so that the emails remain on the server of your email provider after they have been accessed. The other is that the e-mails are then deleted from the server of your e-mail provider after retrieval.

Therefore a simple solution, set all devices and programs to access via IMAP, then this should no longer happen and you have the same status of your emails on every device / program.

Hi, thank you for the answer. Correction: The problem also exists on the Huawei… I only recently activated Outlook 2007 on my laptop… I didn't think it could do anything, but why don't I see the emails on Hotmail's homepage?

Unfortunately I can't get it to switch from POP to IMAP, he then asks me for my mail even though I enter it correctly, etc.

What happens if Outlook 2007 just uninstalled? Does the problem resolve itself automatically on the other devices?

So

Well, you could delete the account from Outlook 2007, but you must first save the emails in a local folder. Normally, this should be possible with Outlook, so that you also have the option in Outlook to put the emails in a local folder. That would be very important, because if you then delete the account from Outlook 2007, the emails will be completely deleted (if they are not saved in a local folder).

Another possibility: create the account again in Outlook, but this time with the use of IMAP. You then have the account twice in Outlook, but you can then drag and drop the emails from the account with POP3 access to the account with IMAP access. If all emails are in the account in Outlook that accesses via IMAP, you can then delete the account with POP3 access.

It worked, great thanks
