I have a Huawei mobile phone (with the latest Android version) and a MacBook Pro (with the latest Mac OS).
So far, the transfer of photos from cell phone to Mac via USB has usually worked well. Connect the cable, then the mobile phone asks whether the photos should be transferred, confirm, then the Photos program opened on the Mac and there you can then select which pictures you want to transfer. However, there have always been pictures that were not displayed in "Photos" on the Mac, but rather had a placeholder in the form of a white, double frame icon on a gray background. These images could not be imported either.
In the meantime, however, almost all mobile phone pictures are unfortunately no longer displayed on the Mac, but only with this replacement picture and accordingly I can hardly import anything. Interestingly, every now and then there's a picture in between what works, so I can rule out a general system error. I haven't changed anything in the settings lately.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
I use the "My Phone Explorer" app for all data transfers.
One on the PC one on the phone.
Thank you, but I don't want to start with new systems: / The previous way was really quick and practical and without any additional Hu and Ha. I just want to be able to use it again…
Look if your cable is defective. Maybe you just caught a "charging" cable and
no USB-C cable that is fully functional.
