Today I noticed that my charging socket on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro looks slightly greenish (white) inside, almost as if it had been oxidized. My phone is waterproof and has been watered a number of times (rainwater, pool water, and salt water), but never had any problems. There's also no problem with charging. Where does it come from? What's this? Can you clean it again with any sprays etc? My father is a mechanic, but I don't want to ask him about my "expensive" cell phone, which may be broken, otherwise he'll probably get angry… Thanks in advance😁
PS: Taking pictures is difficult because I can't take pictures of the cell phone from below with the cell phone😅
Salt water is generally considered to be very aggressive. Attacks pretty much any metal. You can assume that there has been an oxidation here or whatever it may be called in this case. Cleaning with Kontakt 60 (or compatible) should help.
Tip for the future. Electrical devices and salt water do not go together!
