Yesterday I bought a Bose Soundlink Mini 2. Have heard the speaker before with different people and he sounded really mega good. Powerful basses, very balanced and generally just great sound, sounded almost like a plant. Unfortunately, I realized that mine does not sound so good. Of course I have already tried out with different equalizers and bass amps, but unfortunately I could not achieve the same result and am a bit disappointed.
Now I ask myself the following:
Is it possibly on the phone? (unfortunately I have no "built-in" equalizer on my Huawei Mate 20, but only one downloaded from the PlayStore) … I could not change that much then.
Is it perhaps because of the equalizer? Have tried several free and even paid one, because I thought, so you can perhaps do more. Unfortunately, it was not like that. Maybe someone can recommend me a good equalizer or generally does not bring much?
Do you have any ideas about what to try?
I just do not understand how there can be such a big difference! The others also somehow managed to make it sound so good…
It's probably the room, maybe you can supply a room sketch or pictures of the room?
Then it's probably pretty safe to your music file that you want to play on the box. Recommended would be an MP3 file with 320kpbs. Everything else is the lower resolution and sounds accordingly not so tingling.
I have no idea about that to be honest, I only use Spotify and actually find the quality of the songs very well (I also set the highest available quality)
The Spotify is not bad now and the premium version certainly not.
The rooms are actually very different. (Sorry, pictures are rather bad and sketching everything is too much for me) First of all, I've heard the box at work, this is a large room and there are mainly only tables with some tool around. At my home I tested the box in different rooms and also outside. Of course, our rooms at home are not as large as at work and there are more furniture in them. But would say the best sound was when I put the box in the basement on the floor (the room is rather small to medium in size and there's only a tiny window, otherwise furnished like a bedroom, the walls are really bold and massive)

I noticed that too! Some songs already sounded relatively good with my settings, others in turn… Well… Capital Bra and so is not so mine. I rather like some "dark" music with a lot of deep bass…
I also have the Mini 2, it is in the part just so that it is overdriven at higher volumes pretty much. Can't really do anything except soften.
Hmm, I'm not concerned about high volume and the box does not actually overdrive (only very little if I really make full volume, but rather listen to medium volume) But I think even if the box is quieter, it does not sound so good like the other one I heard. The bass was just a lot more powerful and just sounded better. No idea why…
It also makes a difference on what ground the box is
