Why is no cell phone no longer accepting the headphones?

Everything worked fine yesterday and since the new update (around 5:00 in the morning) my cell phone no longer accepts the headphones… Either it doesn't "find" them or only for 1-2 minutes and then the function is gone. Have a Huawei Mate 20 lite.
