I have just moved videos from my Huawei Mate 20 smartphone to a stick using an OTG cable (at least I wanted to) … Of the 850 videos that have been moved, only about 50 can be played, the rest can't be opened!
File format not supported / video can't be played is then stated there!
What do I do now, I need the videos from my kids back:-(
I don't own a laptop / notebook / only smartphone / stick and OTG cable
Open it with a program that can read the file format VLC Player is a good address
The moved films are still available, the storage space was only released for overwriting,
If you had them on an SD card, …
Get the free program "Recuva" from the network and install it on your computer. The SD card on the PC via card reader. Start RECUVA and search the SD card as the search area.
Then save the found films / pictures on the computer - NOT on the SD card, because then they would really be overwritten and gone for good. After saving, you can then transfer them back to the card.
If the SD can't be read, simply format it to gain access. Don't worry - the films will NOT be deleted.
If it was on the main memory - then they may still be in the system folder TRASH as an illustration
Good succeed
Even the VLC player does not find it
Hi unfortunately that is too high for me. I don't have a PC at all, just the smartphone, the stick and the OTG cable. I just wanted to move the videos to the stick.
Without a PC you won't have a chance… Unless you know anyone who has one and can do it with you.
May I ask if you know why this happened, I just pressed move and the stick has enough space
No, there can be many reasons why something happens in this direction. When I want to have something "somewhere else" I get used to copying and pasting somewhere else. Then convince whether it worked, then delete the source file. For this I use the file manager (yellow folder, there's a red F on it) - there you can see what you are doing - similar to the structure on the PC.
Hi so that is not stored on an SD card, the Huawei Mate 20 has some other technology, internal memory…
Then the dates are probably in nirvana😭
