Good cell phone (preferably not from China, if possible, or iPhone, since the apps I need are not available), but which one?

Hope to get help from someone with good smartphone knowledge.

I'm looking for a top cell phone, it doesn't have to be up-to-date, but it can still be.

Not too big if possible so that you can type as well as possible with one hand. I know there isn't a perfect cell phone that can meet all of my search criteria, but it has to cover most of it.

I currently have a Huawei Mate 20 Lite, with which I can enjoy the camera, display (very reflective and it is not pleasant or sharp to look at), battery life, size, features, price / performance (for the price you would have clearly get more out of it) and am not satisfied with a number of other things.

What is important to me is a camera that works well, day and night, in the zoom with the camera, but also in the zoom of an image, which is not blurred when I want to enlarge a picture. The camera should take pictures without blurring if possible. Something that photographers find great for quick spontaneous use.

The same for the video camera, because I would also like an image stabilizer against shaking hands and also good function with day and night.

A Samsung Note 7 would have been an option, but is no longer sold because it was either too good or the battery could explode because it couldn't tell when it was fully charged. Samsung will come up with something great and it will be removed from the market instead of fixed…

Many thanks in advance for a few helpful recommendations.

You can bend "not from China" pretty much straight away, since 90% of the factories that manufacture / assemble the components or all of the smartphones are located in China
Even iPhones are produced in China

Xiaomi Mi10T Lite would be something for you

gi

Thanks, I wanted to write that too 😁

Huh? I don't know of any apps that would not be available for IOS. Which apps would that be?

Ob

This "not from China" does not work at all. Actually all smartphone manufacturers have their factories in China. I don't know what you are saying about the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. Xiaomi is based in China, but the phones are pretty good.

So, every smartphone is made in china anyway (at least to a large extent).

I therefore assume that you want to buy it from a German dealer.

I'm satisfied with my cubot x30, the cameras (there are 5) are very good for photos. The macro lens in particular is nice, and the photos are surprisingly good even in poor lighting conditions. But the video function is only passable, there's probably no optical image stabilization with such cheap smartphones.

Yes it is unfortunately like that…

Vavoo

Gu

I'm looking at Xiaomi Mi10T Lite.

I don't really like Xiaomi but if this phone can convince me I'll give it a try.

Gu

I checked again, it seems that Vavoo is currently also available for MacOS. Before that, it was only available for Windows and Android.

Preferably not from China

Will be difficult, most good camera phones are either Chinese phones or are made there.

A Samsung Note 7 would have been an option, but is no longer sold because it was either too good or the battery could explode because it couldn't tell when it was fully charged.

Uh it is no longer on the market because there are already 5 successors (Galaxy Note 8, 9, 10, 10+, 20). And why would you want to get a 4 and a half year old cell phone that can no longer keep up with the latest technology?

If you want a good but cheap camera phone, get a Huawei P30 Pro, a Google Pixel 4A or a Oneplus Nord.
