How to message WhatsApp. Transferred to new iPhone?

I've bought an iPhone 8 and now want to transfer a few things from my old Huawei to the iPhone.

The most important thing for me is WhatsApp so all the contacts and chats. I have daily made a WhatsApp backup which is stored on Google drive.

What do I have to do now? Simply make a Google backup and transfer this to the iPhone with an app or can I just log on to WhatsApp on the new iPhone or do I have to do it differently. Have seen videos where the do with the PC but that is synonymous without, or not?
