Honor / Huawei notification on screen lock?

I have an Honor 8 and I do not understand… It does not show any notifications on the screen lock at the moment… Sound goes off and the notification light goes off no messages it shows… Only if I open the lock, for example the WhatsApp icon above.

That was not the case otherwise. Can't explain that to me. Too bad, bothers me somehow.
