I have already written with Huawei Support because my Honor 20 Pro (YAL-L41) has not yet received an update to Android 10. I have now been told that my version is said to be updated by 1&1. My current version is: 9.1.0.185 (C431E2R5P1) GPU Turbo.

Does anyone know anything about this?

El

Well everything was said, 1&1 has to give you the update, or you install the official Android on your phone. But don't know if you can

St

For contract phones with provider branding, a software update comes from the provider because the branding has to be adjusted, but many providers do without it and there's no software update

My old Honor 10, which used the same SIM card, has received the update to Android 10 for some time. I'm a little surprised.

En

I only have the SIM card from 1&1 (the same as in my old cell phone). I bought the device itself from the official Honor Store.

El

Yes and? What does that have to do with the SIM card?

Apparently there's a modified operating system from 1&1 on the device. Not the official one.

St

Which network are you in, Vodafone or O2? The provider must then also make the update available via his network. Have you tried Wi-Fi?

En

As far as I know, 1&1 users use the Vodafone network with us. I have already tried to do the update (with & without a SIM card) via the Wi-Fi. I also tried HiSuite on the PC. However, it only ever shows me that I would be using the current developer version. Here is a picture of the update (HiSuite for PC)

Is it somewhere in the settings that the device has a changed version?

St

OK, the update has just started for the Honor P20 Pro, the version without Pro is already through.

When I'm in the Huawei support app, I also see a red dot when "Update". If I click on it now, the updater tells me that I'm current.

So was the distribution of the update to Android 10 from Huawei for the Honor 20 Pro just started?

El

I don't know, at Samsung yes, I don't know whether Huawei also writes in somewhere. But think so. Compare the two cell phones.

I have seen it more often with Vodafon phones that they had 2 versions installed under "Software Update", once the standard Android version and one where "VODAFONE DE" was in the name. There's only one version for my two

St

According to Connect, yes

Can you send me a link to the website?
