We went on vacation early on Saturday and stay there until Monday evening. The charger has been in the socket since Friday evening and since Saturday morning without a cell phone.
Now the question is should we go back and stretch it out or nothing can happen?

So. As long as there's no conductive connection between the individual contacts, absolutely nothing happens. A carpet does not conduct electricity, so there can be no short circuit.
And even if this did happen, the RCD or FI circuit breaker would trip and switch off the entire circuit to which the charger is connected.
There's always a fire hazard with electrical devices. This also applies to your washing machine, refrigerator and microwave. However, it is so low that you don't need to worry about that.

You don't have to worry about that. Nothing can happen there. And even the power consumption is very limited. Even IF the electricity meter would bother to count at all, that would be electricity for not even a cent that is consumed. So much less than it would cost to drive back.
There does not happen mine is lying on the sofa for about a year it does not happen as long as it is the original charging cable if not pull the plug out
