So Samsung, Xiaomi, Liebherr, Medion, Beko, Huawei or would that be rejected? Is a question of a theoretical nature
I think you are allowed to do that in America. A woman there's called "Pepsi Carola":-)
Have you seen Heider?
You can't do that in Germany. In other countries such as France or the USA should be.
Oh in Germany too: https://www.welt.de/...arola.html
Would have been a laughing stock
To the best of my knowledge, this is somewhat at the discretion of the registrar. You don't have to choose the name from a rigid list, but the registrar doesn't have to accept everything either. Many years ago I heard of a case in which parents in the registry office failed with the wish to name their child "Pumuckl" (that was a kind of gnome from a children's series from earlier times). In my opinion, the registrar did the right thing, because you must never forget that children will one day grow up, and then you are pretty smeared with a name like that, not only when you want to laugh at a friend and then have to tell her as one is called.
Personally, I would find the double name "Covid Corona" really resonant for a boy!
Only in America! You can call your child what you like!
Whether it makes sense to choose company names or even fantasy names is a different matter. What is the name of Elon Musk's child again? Oh yes: X Æ A-12.
