Photos & screenshots were deleted automatically, why?

Photos from a specific folder and screenshots were automatically deleted from my Huawei mate20 lite (or hidden?). I could see how the number of pictures automatically decreased, and then restarted my smartphone. The number of photos was not like the old one, but the 'delete' process was stopped My question: why were the images deleted / hidden, and how do I get them back?

Note: Do not have any app that automatically deletes photos.
