Advice: next cell phone?

Currently have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (2½ years old and you can see that it is getting slower and slower) and am currently saving for a new mobile phone.

I would like to continue using a Samsung next, because Huawei does not convince me and the iPhone is simply overpriced technology (please no discussion or unnecessary insult, that's just my opinion).

But I heard that the S10 and S20 are not supposed to be good and I would like to hear your opinions and advice. I would spend around 500-750 euro and have already seen offers on Ebay for 500 euro for an S20

But the battery shouldn't last very long there either and I would like to have a strong battery. I now have to charge my cell phone at least twice a day. I would also like to have a good camera

What would you recommend? You can also recommend other brands. It doesn't hurt to have a look, but I would prefer comments and opinions about Samsung devices

I have a brand new Oppo Reno 2z and I'm very satisfied. Huawei I already have two P8s and won't buy one anymore.

If you want Samsung and a strong battery, you have to say goodbye to the S series for better or worse and grab the A71. Positive side effect: you save a lot of money. In terms of performance and camera technology, the A71 easily puts the old S7 in its pocket. You just have to do without wireless charging and IP certification.

I heard about this brand for the first time recently. But I have to say that I don't know if it's worth it. At Saturn it doesn't cost 300 euro. Is it even fast then and what about the battery? And did I see correctly that the camera comes from the cell phone? Is this the indoor camera?

Although I use what many do not like due to the significantly expensive price and restriction, you can possibly look at the middle class / upper middle class from Samsung if you prefer Samsung devices.

Apple is just a brand that is more geared towards premium that usually costs 40% or significantly or twice as much with the same or 50% lower performance> behaves like Intel as the best example

Significantly more expensive in terms of price and 50% less performance.

I always find it funny when Samsung customers complain about Apple. Samsung is just as much an overpriced premium garbage as Apple is. But back to the subject.

I can only recommend Oneplus, the 7T Pro in your price range. It offers absolute flagship technology and is available for less than 600 euro. In addition to Stock Android, it also offers the best operating system, Oxygen OS.

Read through the tests. Except for the missing IP certification, the device lacks nothing. And if you research, you will find that it is still waterproof.

Not quite. The S10 Lite, for example, is still out of line and relies on a Snapdragon.

ca

S10 Lite? I didn't even have that on my screen. ^^

ro

Somehow everyone forgets that is just a "Lite" version in the end.

ca

I was just thinking you mean the S10e and was about to write that the battery is a bad joke. But no, that's something else again. Somehow looks like an A71 with an 855 and a different camera. It doesn't seem to be a real S (plastics, no IP, no Qi).

ro

This is probably what the Lite refers to. I have no idea myself what Samsung thought with the product. Maybe a few customers who don't have a lot of money but still want a "top model" from the S series.

ca

Definitely an interesting choice for the FS.

ro

Definitely.

There are so many manufacturers who are making the smartphone market unsafe and here are Huawei, Samsung, Apple & co. Just the top of the brand awareness. There are various other manufacturers such as Realme, Oppo & co. Like my favorites Xiaomi or OnePlus, which are very well positioned in the premium segment. The fact that Apple does not pay for the hardware but rather for the software should no longer be a mystery to anyone.

I would also hate to use Samsung models. These install their own Exynos processors, which work downright inefficiently. High power consumption, high waste heat and high energy consumption, which means that the device is still clocked down to protect itself from overheating.

With Samsung, I would only think of 2 models that are equipped with a Snapdragon, this would be the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de or the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de.

Other manufacturers that are definitely worth seeing would be OnePlus or Xiaomi. Here the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de as well as the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de would be very good candidates for comparatively little money. Alternatively there are models for more the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de, as well as the https://geizhals.de/...ml?hloc=de.

Personally, I'm not a great friend on the part of Samsung. Had several devices from the manufacturer himself. From the Star 1, to the S3 Mini, to the S5 and S7 loaner. In the end I switched to the Redmi K30 and was downright convinced. Tidy and clean UI. Fast system. No lag or stuttering after prolonged use and, above all, it didn't get as tough as my previous devices when apps and data accumulated. And the best. The cell phone does not have to be charged 5 times a day, here it is even sufficient to charge the cell phone every 2 days, depending on usage. 🤓

This is the selfie camera. I find it very fast, but compared to my predecessor cell phones. The battery is good and charges very quickly.

ve

I always charge with a cable, wouldn't be a problem. Can the cell phone keep up? That really appeals to me (only that it's not waterproof, but you can't expect that at such a price). Above all, it is important to me that it is fast and that the battery lasts a long time

ca

Check out the discussion with AnimeLOL, the S10 Lite is an interesting alternative too. That would also have a lot of power. But the A71 won't jerk around like stupid either. The processor is good and 6 GB of RAM is appropriate for this class.

ve

I have to say, I'm not a technology expert, especially when it comes to smartphones, I'm out. In terms of price, I would be more in the A71, but which one has the edge? The S10 lite is on sale on Amazon and is around 100 euro more expensive. Can it be all the more so, or is it not worth it? Especially since the S20 is already outside. Please no hate, I don't know my way around

ca

It just has a much stronger processor. As long as you don't want to play great with it, that's uninteresting.
