I would like to buy one of the two cell phones today. And now I'm faced with the difficult decision.
I can say pro / contra for myself:
S21 Ultra / IPhone 12 per max
- with the Samsung I think the 120hz is pretty cool, or I've already tested both cell phones, and it was pretty cool.
- I think the camera on the iPhone 12 pro max is better, or more natural, the zoom on the Samsung is also quite cool, but now nothing I will really use.
Ultimately, I think both phones are well done, overall I think the design of the iPhone is cooler than the Samsung, and I've always had Android phones in recent years, and somehow I would like to test a different operating system or, in this case, iOS. Because I think I could handle it a lot better.
What is most important to me:
Camera, battery, and that I can work with it without restrictions, etc., use apps without problems… Or not like with the huawei where you only have restrictions.
What would you rather recommend?
I like Samsung more is not that expensive either!

The S21 Ultra is a great phone.
But only (!) If you can get the US version with the Snapdragon processor. The Exynos is not optimized enough and would eat away the battery like nothing good.
Therefore, the iPhone would be the better option if you don't get a Snapdragon version.
Price / performance but battery draining processor if you have the EU version.

With both devices you have to compromise in some way, be it their respective advantages or disadvantages.
In terms of camera performance, neither are market leaders. Samsung started a flop for me and should have added a lot via patch and is more versatile thanks to the periscope lens. Apple has not been the market leader in this area for a long time and only offers comparatively low-resolution images with only 12 MP.
On the part of the battery life, unfortunately, the inefficient chip in the Samsung device in this country has a comparatively lower battery life. On the part of Apple, the battery is tightly dimensioned, which is why it wears out quickly and has a comparatively short battery life.
