Convince parents of I Phone?

Since my old Android phone is already quite broken (battery, low memory, etc.) I would like to have a new phone. My parents also see that, but they suggest more to me so Huawei mobile phones. Personally, I do not like Huawei at all: / I tend to go to I phones, but my parents are not ready to spend so much money "just" on a cell phone. But I also do not want it to come over as if I just want to have an I Phone, because it's currently very trendy. The design and I like it very much.

So how can I tell them and convince them to spend about 200 euro more?

I think apple is really not that great. Huawei is really better. The honor 9 costs just under 200-300 euro I think. Has fingerprint sensor and a good camera. Better not get an apple just because it's a popular brand everyone has.

Tell your parents about huawei and their data scandal. Tell your parents that they are all intercepting the personal data from the owner and they are selling that data to the Chinese state just to let you control what you do on the internet.
